Fitness should be a family thing!

Exercise will be most enjoyable, and thus, beneficial, if it is part of a family experience.

Fitness should be a family affair and should be promoted as a fun, healthy way of life.

The American Academy of Pediatrics encourages regular physical activity for children ages two and up on most, if not all, days of the week for an average of 60 minutes a day.

Youth are inherently fit so parents need to make sure they stay active instead of sedentary.  The summer is the best time to get outside and be active with your kids.

Recommendations for youth fitness focus on promoting a variety of activities that are fun and can be easily incorporated into a child’s lifestyle. These activities can include team sports, individual sports and recreation such as bicycling and swimming. One of the best examples a parent can set for their child is to be active and show them how fun fitness can be.

Four Seasons I offers a variety of Family Friend Fitness classes.  You can choose from classes such as Zumba, Pilates, Yoga and Water Fitness. See our Group Fitness schedule here.  In this atmosphere, you can workout with your children ages 9 & up and bond over a healthy and fun experience.  Our fitness professionals are well equipped to bring motivating, effective and safe physical activity to your children’s lives.

The Four Seasons I Health Club also has a large gym with basketballs, basketball hoops, volleyball nets and a track.  The other side of the club holds two Olympic size swimming pools, great for swim lessons and recreational swimming.  These two amenities, coupled with our Family Friendly Fitness classes, are enough to keep any child active all year long.

Take advantage of the warm summer weather, longer days and no school and make fitness a family thing!
