Aquatics Swim Team Coaches
I grew up in a swimming family, competing since I was 5 years old. I swam through high school, starting on the boys team my first year of High school, with the stipulation from the Athletic Director that if I could letter my first year he would start a girls team. I did just that, and to this day there is still a girls team at my High school! I continued swimming competitively through my senior year in college. I have a degree in Recreation Administration and worked at the YMCA in Joliet for 5 years. This will be my 10th year coaching at Four Seasons Health Club. I've now been at Four Seasons for over 19 years, working in a few different departments, but mainly Aquatics. I also have two daughters that coach for the swim team.
I have been involved in Stingrays for 15 years prior to that I have been working with the sport of swimming for 10 years. I started out teaching kids to swim and then I moved to coaching swim team. I also teach at Unit 5. I really enjoy working with kids at all levels and with all kinds of different backgrounds. All 3 of my children have swam on the team since they were 6 and 5. I have been a coach on the team for 5 years. I love the Stingrays and all the fun we have on the team. I work with the little kiddos and they are so much fun and have so much energy. I can't wait to start this year and meet all my wonderful swimmers. Go Stingrays!
I grew up here in Bloomington Normal and started swimming for the Stingrays at a young age. I swam on the team for 12 years and transitioned into coaching soon after. I've been working at Four Seasons for almost four years, teaching swim lessons and coaching. This will be my third summer coaching for the Stingrays! I swam for Normal Community High School and currently swim U.S. Masters. In the fall, I will begin my senior year at Illinois State studying Biology Education. I will also begin my second year assistant coaching at Lincoln Community High School. I'm currently IHSA and USA Swimming coach certified. My favorite part about coaching is seeing swimmers reach their goals and being a part of their journey!
Hi! My name is Marina Schulz and I have worked for 4-Seasons for over 9 years now! I have swam ever since I was little on the 4-Seasons swim and transitioned to coaching when I was 16. I also swam at Normal Community High School all four years and was on varsity there. I grew up in the Bloomington Normal area. I am also getting married in October of this year! As well I work at Advocate BroMenn as a unit tech in the cardiovascular unit, am a consultant for Rodan and Fields Dermatology, and am going to school for radiography. I truly love being part of the Stingrays and helping the kids reach there goals!
My name is Morgan Bishop and this is my 4th year coaching at Four Seasons. I have been a part of the Stingrays Swim Team since I was 6 years old. I coach the 13-18 year old age group, but help out with all of the other age groups as well. I just finished up my junior year at Illinois Wesleyan University, where I am on the swim team and I am studying physics. I am also a coach for FFSC, where I am USA Swimming certified. Rebecca Bishop is my mom, and we love swimming in our family! I hope to share swimming skills with your family members, so you fall in love with the sport of swimming as much as I did.
