FAQs

(posted 5.27.2020)

Hello Four Seasons Family,

We are excited to finally be discussing reopening of the clubs! All of us here at Four Seasons are extremely grateful for your support and have been counting the days until we welcome you back. We have heard from many of our members that have been isolated and alone during this closure. This, as well as the many proven health benefits of exercise, are why we are so eager to reopen. Our hope is to provide a safe environment for our members to improve your health and mind-body wellness.

Our leadership team has spent the last few weeks thoroughly researching safety strategies and taking guidance from governing sources within the fitness industry. We also have many examples of safety protocols from clubs around the country that have already reopened. We paired this research with the recommendations from the CDC and IDPH to formulate what we believe is a safe plan that aligns with all previously mentioned agencies.

We believe our full reopening plan is well researched, safe and consistent with other clubs around the country already implementing these strategies. We are disappointed we are unable to open fully to all membership at this time, even after presenting research to our state and local officials for consideration. However, we are excited to be able to host training and group fitness offerings!

At this time, we will reopen in phases in compliance with the Governor’s reopening strategy. The move to Phase 3 of the Governor’s reopen plan allows Four Seasons to offer one-on-one training and outdoor class options with less than 10 people. Below are details of programming that will begin running June 1st at FSII.

  • FSI will remain closed until Phase 4 of Governor's reopen plan is activated. Pools are closed.

June 1st programming offered at FSII to members only:

  • Virtual classes will be available until we are able to reopen fully.
  • PIT and Small Group Training will resumeIf you are a PIT member or Small Group Training client you will receive an email May 28th on how to enroll yourselves into our on-site or virtual options. If you are a personal training client you will hear directly from your trainer.
  • One-on-One Personal Training can train both in the club and outdoors. Trainers will coordinate with their clients to assist with entry into the clubs.
  • Members may use credits accumulated during closure to enroll in Training services. Click here
  • Summer Day Camp Please click hereto express your interest in reserving a spot. Dates will be delayed in compliance with full reopening, more information to come. Pools will be available for campers.
Full club reopening (with some limitations) will occur with Phase 4 of the Governor’s reopen plan. Four Seasons is ready and will reopen fully once that phase is announced – hopefully in the coming weeks. A full reopening plan will be sent soon.
Thank you for being a part of our Four Seasons family. We look forward to welcoming you all back to the clubs!
Stay well.

Hello Four Seasons Family

First of all, we miss you so much! The clubs are not the same without our members’ positive energy. We cannot thank you enough for the outpouring of support you have shown, but we’ll try – THANK YOU! The kind messages sent our way really remind us of why we do what we do, and they keep us going even in these uncertain times. It brings us so much joy to provide an outlet of health and wellness to the community, as well as a new found sense of comradery. We’re all in this together, and we will come out stronger! We’re here for you and your families, and that won’t ever change. We can’t wait to see everyone back in the clubs soon.

Here is an update to the questions you’ve asked:

Reopening Date: We will continue to comply with the Governor’s “shelter in place order,” which currently is set to be lifted May 30th and plan to reopen as soon as possible after this date. Please continue to check in with our digital communication outlets (social media, website and email) for updates.

Safety Measures for Reopening: Our team is currently researching industry and governmental guidelines and recommendations for safe reopening strategies. Prior to official reopening, we will send communication through all digital channels (social media, website and email) updating members on the exact specifics and roll-out of these safety measures, so be sure to stay tuned for updates.

Invoicing During the Closure: Invoices will continue to remain active throughout the closure because fairness and consistency for all members are our main priorities. Due to different membership types and invoicing structures, a mass invoice freeze would not apply equally and consistently for all members. This – along with maintaining operations, providing a source of stability for staff, and adding value to members upon reopening – is why invoices have remained active. Your support has insured 210 staff members remain employed and ready to work upon club reopening. Again, we thank you!

To provide value and credit for the time lost during the closure, members who have maintained active membership status upon reopening will receive the following:

  • A credit in the amount of your membership dues for the duration of the closure that can be applied to anything processed via point of sale
  • Multi-use 20% discount on services, apparel, snacks, or any other in-club purchases, for 90 days after club reopening
  • A Perkville bonus of 1,000 points that will not expire on active memberships. We received feedback from members sharing concerns about our plan to provide unlimited guest passes upon reopening, and we hear you! Instead, we decided to add Perkville points to use for guest passes – and much more – whenever you feel comfortable doing so.

We understand that several members of our community have been faced with tough financial circumstances and we’re here to help. If you need assistance regarding your active invoices, please reach out to us by email: information@4seasons-club.com. Know that you have many options and we are happy to help in any way that we can.

Summer Programs: Updates on programming (swim lessons, Summer Day Camp) and summer registrations will be provided soon.

Exclusive Member Perks: We love serving our members even if it’s from home! We will continue to host public classes to serve the entire community. However, we are working hard to bring our dedicated membership base a more personalized experience with our instructors and trainers! We want to try to replicate the gym experience you’ve had in the club, using virtual training platforms – including complimentary fitness consultations with one of our nationally certified trainers. Be on the lookout for more details to come via email and social media!

Schedule your virtual fitness consultation today!

Updates and Improvements: Our clubs are getting some much-needed TLC during the closure. We have used this time to improve the clubs for you, our members, in a number of ways. Here’s a sneak peak:

The team at Four Seasons is committed to continue providing health, wellness, and positivity to our amazing members and community throughout these challenging times. We are honored that you have joined with us in shining a light of hope, happiness, and health within our strong community. Stay healthy, stay safe, and thank you!

Sincerely,

The Entire Four Seasons Team

Thank You!

(posted 3.31.2020)

Our team at Four Seasons wishes to give a huge thank you to our members who have overwhelmingly responded with positive messages of support for the clubs and staff during this time. As a local not-for-profit weathering the storms of the past 55 years, the current climate presents us all with unique challenges. Your positive feedback and examples of kindness and outreach during this crisis leaves us filled with gratitude and hopeful for the future of our community. We can’t thank you enough. Your support is helping pay our 210 employees, as well as our vendors and their employees. We also wish to give a special heartfelt thank you to our group fitness instructors, coaches and trainers who have invited our members into their homes through offering online classes and training. We may be physically distant but our Four Seasons family is devoted to keeping our community socially connected, engaged and supporting one another.

Despite the club being closed, a small but mighty crew have been very busy upgrading both locations. These efforts are in response to the member feedback survey conducted this past February.

  • A/C addition for the spin studio and cardio area at FSII
  • Painting, lighting and general member facing improvements to FSI spaces
  • FSI hot tub removal and next steps for replacement
  • Addition of TVs and audio/visual options at both clubs
  • Completely upgraded LED lighting of cardio area at FSII
  • Deep cleaning of all locker rooms and all equipment
  • Checking every piece of equipment to insure all are operational and clean upon reopening
  • Adding daytime cleaning presence at both locations
  • Upgraded equipment and functional training spaces at both clubs coming this fall
  • Upgraded locker rooms at FSII coming this fall

Nothing is more important than the health of our community and Four Seasons remains devoted to doing everything we can to help in these efforts. In compliance of the government Stay at Home mandate and social distancing efforts we are extending our club closure. At this time our reopening date is May 4th with all services and operations resuming as normal. Certain programming dates may be affected by this change and further communication will go out to those members impacted.

In efforts to continue providing value during this six-week closure, we are offering all members who have maintained active membership status through club reopening the following perks:

  • All members who have maintained active membership status through club reopening will receive an in-club credit equal to one month of their current membership dues. This credit can be used for services, sports shop and club collection items at both clubs. More details on how to take advantage of this credit will be provided to members before reopening.
  • We have already frozen all personal training, PIT, SLX, swim lessons and karate services, while still paying those employees as if they were seeing clients
  • Unlimited guest passes through May (valued $15 day/ per guest)
  • Continued online group exercise and strength & conditioning videos to stay active during this closure
  • 20% discount on products and services for 30 days after we re-open

We are asking our members to continue to support us during this closure. However, should you wish to pursue options regarding your membership and active invoices, we have a limited number of essential staff responding to inquiries. We ask for your patience as they are managing a high volume of follow ups.

As we receive official updates regarding COVID-19 and the potential impact to the Four Seasons community, we will continue to update everyone via social media outlets and our website. Our top priority is the safety of our community. We appreciate your support, and can’t wait to see everyone back in the clubs.

Stay healthy and safe!

Our Four Seasons Family is Stronger Together

(posted 3.23.2020)

Four Seasons members,

As you are now aware, the Governor has mandated that our clubs and the majority of businesses remain closed as we have a Stay at Home directive to help flatten the curve of the COVID19 virus. When we closed on March 16th it was our assumption that the closure would be for a 2 week period and we would reopen March 30th. Since that time, events have moved very quickly leaving local businesses working to assess the impact for their employees and community. Even though the clubs are closed, our teams are working hard to provide online offerings as well as in-club facility improvements. Instead of pulling back, we are continuing to invest in our clubs and our people, as we know our members will continue to invest in us.

We know the clubs have become a part of your daily lives and assure you we will be open and back to normal as soon as it is safe to do so. At this time our reopen date is April 8th in compliance with this ordinance. All programming will resume April 13th, per our original plan.

For over 55 years, Four Seasons has created connections and transformed lives in our community. As our teams assess this situation we are constantly reminded by the stories and memories that our members have provided through the years. This is what fuels us to do everything in our power to continue to make sure that the clubs reopen stronger than ever.

Never before have we been faced with a challenge as we are now. We are asking our Four Seasons family to stay with us and continue supporting the clubs. Your support will insure we continue to pay our 210 employees, as well as maintain needed staff when operations and programming resume. We are also working to help other businesses in our community, as well as continue to support our vendors and contractors for as long as possible, even though they are unable to provide services. We know that we are all stronger when we work together.

Due to your willingness to help us through this, we would like to offer the following:

  • We have already frozen all personal training, PIT, SLX, swim lessons and karate services, while still paying those employees as if they were seeing clients
  • All members will receive unlimited guest passes through May (valued $15 day/ per guest)
  • Continued online group exercise and strength & conditioning videos to stay active during this closure
  • 20% discount on products and services for 30 days after we re-open

At this time, we are asking our members to continue to support us in the community.

We appreciate your support, and can’t wait to see everyone back in the clubs!

Stay healthy and safe!

Four Seasons vision is transforming lives by creating a healthier community. It is in this spirit that we will be taking the following steps to insure the safety of our members, staff and community.
Both Four Seasons locations will close after 10pm Monday, March 16, reopening Monday, March 30th. All childcare and group programming will be suspended after 1pm Monday, March 16.
Our amazing instructors, trainers and coaches will be offering programming and classes online! This will be accessible to everyone in the community, not just members. Our hope is to continue promoting fitness, family and fun. Be sure to follow us on Facebook and Instagram to take advantage of these free services.
Our focus now is to invest in our people and clubs, knowing our wonderful members and community will continue to support us, just as they have for over 50 years. We will continue to pay all staff - part time or full - to insure our Four Seasons family is taken care of. We are also taking this opportunity to focus on deep cleaning and other facility improvements such as high level dusting, floor cleaning, lighting and locker room improvements.
We understand that the current climate can be uncertain. In an effort to support other small businesses in our community, we have purchased gift cards to share with our members and public who join us in spreading positivity and stories of how our community supports each other. Be sure to use the following hashtags to win one of these prizes.
#4seasonspayitforward
#healthiercommunity
#4seasonsfamily
#fitnessfamilyfun
#transforminglives
Private training and lessons will resume March 30th, all other group training, lessons, classes and childcare will resume April 13th. Our team will be available for member questions or concerns through end of business today. All other inquiries will be addressed upon club reopening.
In good health,
Your Four Seasons Family
