Class Meeting Times:
Fridays: 4:00-8:00pm
Saturdays: 8:30am-5:30pm
Sundays: 8:30am-5:30pm
Participants must be at least 15 years old to take course and will learn water rescues, CPR, AED, and the first aid skills required to be a lifeguard. Course fee: $125.00 (includes online course materials and textbook).

StarGuard Frequently Asked Questions
Q: Are StarGuard certifications valid at all aquatic facilities?
A: SAI does not restrict acceptance of the StarGuard certification, so in theory a StarGuard- trained lifeguard may work anywhere. Additionally, StarGuard has been evaluated and accepted by health departments in states that have a review process and training requirement.
Q: Is there a crossover program for currently certified lifeguards?
A: Yes. Lifeguards with current certification from a nationally recognized agency have immediate reciprocity and a 30-day grace period to attend a crossover orientation and have StarGuard skills competency and performance assessed.
Q: What is the length of time a StarGuard certification is valid?
A: One year. Competency and performance must be assessed annually for renewals.
Q: What is the minimum age for someone who wants to take the StarGuard course?
A: Age 16. An instructor may issue a variance into the course for a student who is 15 if the instructor has direct knowledge of the maturity of the student and believes he or she is ready for the challenges of the course. Four Seasons Association requires students to be at least 15 years of age.
